As a salon manager for 2 decades, everywhere from New Jersey to Los Angeles, I saw the need for an elite shear sharpener in my hometown of Pittsburgh when our salon community suffered a great loss.

Together with my partner in crime and in life, Daniel, we started Running With Scissors. We found the best training program according to Behind the Chair and Daniel went through extensive one-on-one training with the best of the best. We then spent two years working in the industry where Daniel honed his craft before committing to Running With Scissors on a full-time basis.

Now, we bring our elite training, extensive experience, and reliable professionalism to every client. We specialize in sharpening both Japanese and German shears and show each pair we are entrusted with the love and care to bring them back to their original glory. We also cater to our knife and scissor clients with the same attention to detail.

We have built incredible relationships based on results and trust with each of our clients and we are grateful for the opportunity they provide us with each day to do what we love.
